The Risk Of Thinking
“I’m Too Young For Cancer”

Cancer has no age restriction. It is a sad truth but it is one everyone should be aware of.

I’ve heard a lot of parents say that their child is too young to have cancer. While this belief sounds like an optimistic one, it can cause more harm than good. Disregarding early symptoms of cancer because of this assumption delays diagnosis and treatment.

As parents, you will want to comfort your children or people who are close to you with words of reassurance. However, saying that they are too young to have cancer is fake reassurance. Instead, if someone confides in you about their medical concerns or if you see any symptoms of cancer arise in yourself, irrespective of age, the first thing to do is consult a doctor.

Being aware of the risk factors for cancer in young people can help you identify them sooner and get the help you require. Early detection is truly the best course to recovery, especially for cancer. You could also do regular check-ups if there is a family history of any type of cancer. Every suspicion you have should immediately be informed to your doctor.

At Apollo Proton Cancer Center, our oncologists do a deep dive into your health status. Our treatment, consultations and follow-ups have proved efficient for patients of all ages and nationalities. With a competent healthcare team, your health is in the safest hands with Apollo Cancer Center.
